Terms of Use
Last updated 2026-06-04.
GaitherNews is a free, ad-free news synthesis tool. The terms below are short because there is nothing here to sell.
What this is
GaitherNews aggregates RSS feeds from across the political spectrum, scores each article, clusters articles covering the same event, and synthesizes a neutral multi-source view of each story. It includes optional on-demand analysis layers ("Read more", "Gaither's take", per-outlet framing differences, follow-the-money) generated by Claude (Haiku and Sonnet). See the methodology page for the full pipeline.
Editorial nature
The neutral summaries, framing analyses, and synthesis text are machine-generated by language models from third-party news sources. They are intended as an editorial aid, not as primary reporting. The "Gaither's take" lens is intentionally non-centrist and applies a forensic frame to institutions across the political spectrum. Use your own judgment, follow the linked outlet stories, and treat AI-generated synthesis with appropriate skepticism.
Source content
Article headlines, descriptions, and thumbnail images are pulled from publishers' RSS feeds under standard editorial fair-use practice. The full article body is hosted by the original publisher. Clicking any source link sends you to the publisher's site under their own terms.
Acceptable use
Use this site for any lawful purpose. Don't attack the API, don't scrape it in a way that wastes bandwidth, and don't redistribute the machine-generated synthesis as your own work. We may add rate limits or block traffic from sources that cause problems for other users.
API access
The JSON API at /api is read-only, public, no auth required, and CORS-open. There is no service-level guarantee. Endpoints, response shapes, and rate limits may change without notice.
No warranty
The site is provided as-is. We do not warrant that it will always be available, that the synthesis is correct, that bias scores are accurate, or that any analysis is fit for journalistic or research purposes without your own review.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to this site is limited to USD $0. Neither party is liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Charlotte County, Florida.
Changes
If we change these terms, we will update this page. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when the substance changed.
